Interlinkis a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of Lewis-Clark Valley seniors since 1984. We are your friends and neighbors that ‘link’ our seniors to trusted volunteers that provide donor-funded senior transportation, home safety and ADA ramp installations, helpful programs and resources, and community connections.
Our Vision
Interlink’s vision is to facilitate the engagement of community volunteers, non-profit and government programs, foundations, faith communities, individual philanthropy, and partnerships with local business for the health and well-being of LC Valley seniors-building the community we all want to age into.
Interlink, Inc, dba/Interlink Senior Services, can trace its history back to the spring of 1983,when the board of directors of the Valley Christian Aid Network(ValCAN) was asked to consider becoming the sponsoring agency of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). RSVP's sponsor, the Volunteer Bureau, could not continue their sponsorship and the program was in danger of being discontinued.
Motivated by a deep common desire to serve the needs of local senior citizens, a new sponsor for RSVP needed to be found.
That story, stretching over 40 yearsand includes dozens of key community individuals and events, leads you to the nonprofit and non-sectarian Interlink Senior Services of today that serves all LC Valley seniors.
